Performance Pathophysiology
Recognizing the pathophysiological issues in performance helps you improve yourself.
By analysing muscle biochemistry on-field and real-time during a complete tournament, the importance of the metabolite logistics (ratio of free fatty acid to carbohydrate consumption) and by-product elimination emerged instead of VT1 and VT2 thresholds, VO2max.
This plays a critical role in early detection of REDs, as high carbohydrate consumption rates generate logistic insufficiencies at whole-body level. Generated by-products do not uniformly cause aerobic/anaerobic shifts in momentary muscle function, so this can lead to anaerobic reversibility. Our workshop will address the challenges that sport medical professionals face during their works, e.g. fluctuating performance, undue injury and will offer practical strategies. Aim: analyse pathophysiological variables, present a hands-on measurement and summarise lifestyle aspects. Provides insights for health professionals into person-centred athlete assessment. How to analyze the biochemical functions serving the athlete´s sport performance from the perspective of pathophysiology.
