PIONIRS s.r.l. was founded in 2020 (https://www.pionirs.com), with the aim of developing and commercializing novel quantitative and reliable tissue oximeters based on Time-Domain Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (TD-NIRS). With its strong scientific background and continuative collaboration with universities and research institutions, PIONIRS is able to provide state-of-art technologies using light to noninvasively
investigate the internal properties of biological tissues and samples.
Custom-made pulsed laser sources, wide-area ultra-sensitive photodetectors and extremely precise acquisition electronics allow our devices to successfully improve measurement quality in several applications, ranging from biomedicine, healthcare, and sportsciencel.
PIONIRS is leading the commercialization of TD-NIRS instrumentation in the European market. Its product portfolio includes a fully automated compact TD-NIRS Tissue Oximeter for realtime measurmenets on human tissue. These devices have been already used by elite research centers and universities worldwide.
