Description
Founded in 1956, Capital University of Physical Education and Sports (CUPES) is the only sports university affiliated to Beijing Municipal Government. It is a “high-level and characteristic university” supported by the classified development policy for Beijing municipal universities, ranking third in “China Sports University Rankings” for three consecutive years. CUPES boasts a complete talent cultivation system which consists of 15 undergraduate majors, 7 master majors and 1 doctoral program, forming a major structure with sports as the main feature, educational studies as the backbone, liberal arts, science, management and fine arts in coordinated development. By contributing our most modern technology to building China into a sports power, the University has helped national teams won 79 gold medals and 39 silver medals in various world championships and Olympic Games.
